Gary Started Building an Ark....

Another ugmo morning.  While Lorrie and I cleaned the stalls, we put the horses out with hay under the shed roof.  That was a bomb as Moon kept moving Berlin and Abbe around... so once again they got good and wet.  Of course they went out to the swamp pasture to get as soaked as possible before we put them back in the barn.

 Talk about standing water....

The blankets were hung to drip dry....it's going to take awhile.
At 10 I had an appointment with the massage therapist (thought it was yesterday).   Really needed it!

My next stop was Agape....still raining.
Love seeing the flowers peeking out here and there.

By the time I left, it was just sprinkling so I was able to turn the horses back out...they were happy.

A soup day for sure.  Grabbed whatever was available and made a big pot.  Lentils, 2 kinds of beans, onions, carrots, celery, spinach, chicken stock and a bag of our homemade sauce.

Around 5, the sun came out!  Do you love my flooded outdoor arena?
We had so much water, the "pond" in the back corner of the pasture doubled by evening chores.

It's going to take awhile for all this to get absorbed.

Jenny came up for dinner...had stories to tell.
Meatloaf sandwiches, coleslaw and soup.  Yum.
Time to go sit by the fire.
Ha Ha!  Ice covered trees yesterday and it's supposed to be 70 on Monday.  What the heck.....
Night all.

Gack! I hope your weather changes for the better soon! Such sogginess. It looks like a Pacific Northwest Winter, not an Eastern Spring. Glad you saw a few daffodils.. :)

That is a lot of water!! It was sunny and warm here today -- I turned the sprinkler system back on last week. Its hard to imagine cold and rainy.

Oh how awful for all the water!

We have mud, mud, mud!
Our paddocks are slimy muddy.

All the farmers and we are grateful for the moisture, but not really happy with the conditions the animals are in.

My only positive comment is that Siera is getting a real intro to mud and water which she really dislikes.

Have a good weekend.

As much as we need the rain, I dread standing water, but won't complain when it does! I'm just ready for the warmer temps too, and no blankets--That will come soon enough!

I hope you're doing well, and having a good weekend!
